My mom died in 2010 and my dad a year later. Dad had served in WWII and my brother-in-law (ex-Army officer) was able to contact the proper folks and get him a military burial even though it was right around Thanksgiving. I don’t think there was a dry eye at the gravesite when the bugler played this and the American flag was presented to my older sister.

Thank you to everyone who answered the call of the draft and of their hearts to defend our beloved country. Thank you to those who returned maimed in limb and/or mind, broken souls, to those who never returned but gave their life willingly, and their families who had to and will have to endure a life without them, whether temporarily or until they meet again in Heaven. You all sacrificed for your brother and sister next to you, for your countrymen to have the freedom and opportunities many will never know, and for those who cannot or will not serve. May GOD shine HIS eternal glory and blessings on each of you.
